The country’s largest law firm continues to expand: 

 PPO Abogados strengthens its intellectual property, privacy and data protection offering by promoting Ana Valeria Escobar to partner.

On January 7, 2022, PPO Abogados (PPO) announced the promotion of Ana Valeria Escobar to partner, increasing the partnership to 10. She is a member of the firm’s intellectual property and privacy and data protection practices. Her promotion is effective as of January 1, 2022.

Escobar has more than 10 years of experience in intellectual property law. Her experience expands to related practices, including entertainment, consumer defense, advertising and privacy and data protection. She graduated from Universidad Católica Boliviana, and earned a Master of Laws (LLM) in Entertainment, Media and Intellectual Property from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). In addition, she holds a certificate as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) as a professional expert in privacy matters.

Prior to joining PPO, she worked with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and in other Bolivian law firms specializing in intellectual property.
