In the area of taxation and customs, Shery regularly advises local and foreign companies on litigation management, achieving successful results thanks to a proactive approach and solid strategic planning. Her experience covers assessment processes, the application of penalties, and other procedures handled by the National Tax Service and National Customs. She also provides tax and customs advice to companies in various economic sectors. Her preventive and strategic approach allows her to offer solutions that not only comply with current regulations but also optimize the tax structure of the companies she advises.

In constitutional matters, Shery has successfully represented leading companies in litigation before the Constitutional Court. She complements her practice with constitutional interpretation and analysis services, providing theoretical and strategic support in each process.

Shery began her professional career with internships in the Judiciary, where she worked in the civil and criminal areas. She then joined the tax team of a multi-jurisdictional law firm based in Uruguay. Later, she completed an internship at her current firm, within the same tax team, where she has remained ever since as part of her professional career.

Shery obtained her law degree with honors from the Gabriel René Moreno Autonomous University in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. She subsequently furthered her academic training abroad with a Master’s degree in Constitutional Law in Madrid, taught by the Menéndez Pelayo International University in collaboration with the Center for Political and Constitutional Studies. In addition, she has three diplomas: one in Legal Management of the Company, another in Constitutional Law, Constitutional Procedure and Control of Conventionality, and in Higher Education.
