Mattias Garrón is a partner at PPO and participates on the Corporate & Commercial and Regulatory teams.
His practice focuses on advising local and foreign companies with respect to corporate matters, as well as project development, mergers and acquisitions and foreign investment. In parallel, he has significant experience in commercial matters, having advised clients, of virtually all industries, regarding their commercial relationships.
In the regulatory sphere, he has significant experience in administrative and regulatory matters, having held important positions in the public administration in regulators in charge of overseeing matters such as antitrust, corporate governance, telecommunications and transportation.
Prior to joining PPO, Garrón was a Senior Associate at Ferrere. Also, he worked at Airbus in Spain. He also worked in the energy sector as legal counsel to AIR BP. In his most recent position, he was head of the legal analysis Unit at the Attorney General´s Office.
Mr. Garrón obtained his law degree from the Universidad Católica Boliviana, in La Paz, Bolivia, and a Master’s in Business Law from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, in Spain. He also obtained postgraduate degrees from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Universidad del Valle.
