PPO Announces The Incorporation of Pilar Soruco
PPO Abogados, the largest law firm in the country, announced the incorporation of the new partner, Pilar Soruco, who will be responsible for leading the practice of the firm’s intellectual property area. Soruco joins with two associates and five members of the support staff since March 29 of this year.
Soruco’s legal practice is complemented by decades of industry and business experience in the practice of intellectual property law. His incorporation is part of a growth initiative in this important area within the firm, which is now one of the leaders in Bolivia, in terms of experience, personnel and portfolio management.

Former president of the Bolivian Association of Intellectual Property, Soruco’s experience spans a wide range of intellectual property areas, including licensing, opinion writing, advice, due diligence investigations, portfolio analysis, litigation, and patent and trademark prosecution.
It also includes managing the patent and trademark portfolio of various Fortune 100 companies and working on high-profile infringement cases. She has also been a professor of Intellectual Property Law at the Bolivian Catholic University and has lectured on a variety of intellectual property topics in international forums such as ASIPI and INTA.
