In 2020, Pro Mujer (Pro Woman) launched the voluntary and free program, Mujer Segura (Safe Woman), which objective is the orientation, support, and psychological and legal counseling for women in situations of violence in two modalities: a free hotline and face-to-face attention in two cities. The attention is anonymous, safe, and empathic.

From its opening to April 2023, the hotline answered more than 10,000 calls. In addition, it provided face-to-face attention in three offices located in La Paz and El Alto, where, to date, it has assisted more than 2,157 women in situations of violence, of which more than 60% requested accompaniment.

Mujer Segura program has specialized staff to address the cases that are registered, and community promoters for the prevention of this type of violence. Women who survived gender-based violence, today support other women to get out of this situation.

PPO Pro Bono Program and Alliance

For its part, PPO is a law firm that promotes a culture of solidarity among its members. Motivated by these values, PPO, through its internal program of free legal services (Pro Bono Program), provides legal assistance to people with limited resources and in situations of particular vulnerability.

From now on, the PPO Pro Bono Program joins the Pro Mujer (Safe Woman) program to provide legal training that serves as a guide for both specialized staff and promoters who carry out support services in different modalities.
