PPO Abogados (PPO) is proud to announce that Lindsay Sykes has been elected unanimously as PPO’s next managing partner. Her term began on June 1, 2024.
Sykes currently leads the firm’s International Compliance and Arbitration Practices and heads the firm’s award-winning Pro-Bono Program. As managing partner, she will lead the 120 members in PPO’s five (5) national locations.
With this appointment, Sykes is the first female managing partner designated by a top-ranked law firm in Bolivia, as recognized by the leading publications.
As one of the few female managing partners in the region, Sykes’ appointment reflects PPO’s commitment to creating more diverse and inclusive leadership, and to continue to develop its relationships with its global and regional law firms and clients.
“The last few years have brought unprecedented challenges, of course, but they have also brought incredible growth due to our focus on our teams and our clients”, Sykes said. She added, “We have exceptional leadership throughout our practices, offices, and administrative teams. I am thrilled to lead this strong team to continue delivering the legal excellence and cutting-edge services our clients expect”.
“Lindsay will elevate our firm’s future as a strategic, decisive, and resilient leader,” said Alejandro Pemintel, PPO’s exiting managing partner, who led the firm for the previous two years. “She has shown that she possesses a rare combination of essential qualities, including the ability to think ahead, use good judgement and act even in difficult circumstances, with a balance of empathy and resolve. Lindsay will ably lead our law firm to further growth and standing.”
PPO is the largest law firm in Bolivia, with leading practices across the board. Clients know they can rely on PPO for their most challenging legal and business matters.
