Bolivia, August 2024: For the third consecutive year, the firm PPO Abogados (PPO) sponsored and hosted the GC Powerlist: Bolivia 2024, an event by the prestigious British directory THE LEGAL 500, which aims to recognize the performance of the most notable General Counsels (GCs) in Bolivia and emphasize the role they fulfill in their companies.

THE LEGAL 500, whose representatives traveled from London to attend the event, has recognized numerous General Counsels globally through the “GC Powerlist,” providing a special platform for them to access networking opportunities with each other and with other GCs from the region and the around the world.

In this version, the GC Powerlist: Bolivia honored over 100 General Counsels, the most prominent in the country, after a rigorous evaluation of their reputation in Bolivia, who provided in-house legal advice to companies operating in various industries.

At the highly anticipated event, Lindsay Sykes, recently appointed Managing Partner at PPO, was also introduced, along with José Luis Tufiño, who joined PPO’s tax practice as a partner.

Sykes, who currently leads the International Compliance and Arbitration practices at PPO, becomes the first woman to be appointed Managing Partner at the country’s largest law firm, both in terms of the number of lawyers and its extensive geographical footprint.
