Diego Böhrt is a partner at PPO and leads the firm’s regulatory law practice.

Diego has a vast experience providing advising companies in their relationship with the State, advising with respect to administrative and regulatory matters. He has particular experience advising clients operating in the telecommunications, electricity, aviation and life science industries.

He is also an expert in antitrust law and provides preventive advice to clients of all  industries and has participated in most of administrative processes filed by the Companies’ Authority as a result of purported antitrust activities.

Diego’s corporate and commercial practice is recognized by Chambers & Partners, with clients commenting that he “demonstrates great agility, pragmatism and speed of response.”

Prior to joining PPO, Diego worked as legal counsel at several regulators, including the Telecommunications, Electricity and Hydrocarbons Authorities, as well as in the private sector.

Diego earned his Law Degree from Universidad Católica Boliviana and a Master’s Degree in Economics and Regulation of Public Services from the Universidad de Barcelona, in Spain. He also obtained a Master`s Degree in Corporate and Business Law  from Universidad Gabriel René Moreno – de Chazal Foundation and a Diploma in Corporate Law (from UAGRM), and a post graduate degree in Policies to Promote Competition and Consumer Defense in the Telecommunications Sector from the Universidad Externado de Colombia – EMI.

Diego serves as an Editorial Director of the Legal Industry Review (LIR) for Bolivia. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
