Julio is part of PPO´s Intellectual Property team. His legal practice in Intellectual Property, Copyright and Industrial Property comprises Trademarks, Patents and Traditional Knowledges within Bolivian territory. He is an expert in opposition processes during the registration of trademarks, the cancellation, nullity, and assertion of rights and violations. Moreover, he has a vast knowledge about various mechanisms to safeguard and protect trademarks, through use licenses, changes of domicile, transfers, name changes, mergers, and renewal of trademarks, having satisfactorily carried out such processes before Servicio Nacional de Propiedad Intelectual. (SENAPI).
He is familiar with the legal normative that governs Intellectual Property matters, and has a broad experience in administrative procedures, and specifically Revocation and Hierarchical remedies. Moreover, he is knowledgeable about a diversity of judicial processes and Constitutional defense actions.
He developed his professional career as a technician specialized in contentious processes at Bolivia´s Servicio Nacional de Propiedad Intelectual (SENAPI) until 2018. Thereafter he focused his counseling on contentious processes for domestic clients.
Julio Cachi graduated as a lawyer from the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (Bolivia) in 2015, and he also obtained a Diploma in Higher Education from the Universidad Real de la Cámara Nacional de Comercio in Bolivia in 2019.
