Raquel is a tax advisor at PPO ABOGADOS and is part of the Tax team. Her practice focuses on tax advisory, management, planning, and consulting, involving technical assistance in local direct and indirect taxation, cross-border operations, and M&A transactions. She also has experience in taxation across various sectors including financial, commercial, industrial, agribusiness, agricultural, nonprofit, service, insurance, petroleum, mining, and pharmaceutical industries. Additionally, she has developed expertise in M&A processes, Due Diligence, and tax compliance.
Prior to joining PPO, she worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers Bolivia as the head of the Tax department, providing support in tax audit activities for companies such as Banco Ganadero S.A., Banco Nacional de Bolivia S.A., Banco Bisa .S.A., Fortaleza SAFI, SOBOCE, Embol, Campos de Solana, TOYOSA, Nissan de Bolivia, IMCRUZ, Nuevatel, AESA Ratings S.A., La Vitalicia, BISA Seguros y Reaseguros, Credinform, La Boliviana Ciacruz, YPFB Andina, Pluspetrol, Petrobras, Flamagas, Minera San Cristóbal, COMIBOL, Minera Paitití, Laboratorios BAGÓ, Pharma Investi, Tecnofama, Yanbal de Bolivia, among others.
Raquel holds a double degree in Public Accounting from the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés. She also holds two Masters in Taxation, one from the same university and the second from the Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar, a Diploma in Higher Education from the Universidad Adventista de Bolivia, and an academic course in “Financial and Economic Analysis and Valuation of SMEs” developed at the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla in coordination with the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
