Salomón advises on transactional and regulatory matters, where he leads the firm’s Technology practice and is part of the M&A and Banking & Finance groups.
He is a university professor on technology issues, president of the Association of Entrepreneurs of Bolivia and partner of Babasú Ventures, the first venture capital investment fund in Bolivia.
Prior to joining PPO Abogados as a partner, Salomón was an overseas associate in the Corporate and Financial department of the New York office of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, where he advised financial institutions and energy project developers regarding their Asset Financing needs, Acquisition Financing, Project Financing and Restructuring in the United States and Latin America.
In these roles, Salomón has worked with local, international and multilateral financial institutions such as the Inter-American Development Bank, Bank of America, Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES), International Finance Corporation, among others.
In the field of Technology, Salomón has collaborated in regulatory, transactional and corporate matters with Amazon Web Services, Facebook, Kayak, Uber, among others, as well as with Bolivian startups in all phases of their development, from incorporation, capital raising and sales or exit.
Additionally, it collaborates with banks, and service providers for the design and implementation of their business models of digital assets and Blockchain in Bolivia.
Salomón earned his law degree from the Universidad Privada de Santa Cruz de la Sierra and a master’s degree (LL.M.) from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.
