Salomón Eid is a partner at PPO and leads the firm’s Fintech and Technology practices. He advises companies, financial institutions, investors and innovation-driven businesses on complex regulatory, transactional and strategic matters, with a particular focus on fintech, digital assets, financial services, venture-backed companies and technology-enabled business models.
Salomón has developed a distinctive practice at the intersection of law, finance and technology. He regularly advises on the design, structuring and regulatory analysis of fintech, crypto, digital asset, payments, custody, exchange, tokenization and technology-enabled financial services models in Bolivia and Latin America.
His transactional and finance experience includes advising local, international and multilateral financial institutions on financing, corporate and restructuring matters.
Before joining PPO as a partner, Salomón was an overseas associate in the Corporate and Finance department of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP in New York, where he advised financial institutions and energy project developers on asset finance, acquisition finance, project finance and restructurings in the United States and Latin America.
Throughout his career, Salomón has worked with financial institutions and multilateral organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank, Bank of America, BNDES and the International Finance Corporation, among others, on financing, investment, regulatory and corporate matters. In the technology sector, he has advised global companies and platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Facebook, Kayak and Uber on commercial, regulatory and market-entry matters, while also supporting Bolivian and Latin American startups in different stages of development.
 Salomón is also active in the entrepreneurial ecosystem as a university professor, mentor and advisor to founders and innovation-driven companies. He earned his law degree from Universidad Privada de Santa Cruz de la Sierra and an LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.
